Forgings
A forged product can be defined as a product shaped by heating it in a furnace and hammering/beating it into shape. Industrial forging is done either with presses or with hammers powered by compressed air, electricity or hydraulics.
The forging process can produce a piece of metal that is stronger than an equivalent cast or machined part. As the metal is shaped during the forging process, its internal grain deforms to follow the general shape of the part. As a result, the grain is continuous throughout the part, giving rise to a part with improved strength characteristics.
The forged product range includes, amongst others, round bars (machined or forged), flat- and square forge bars, discs, step forgings, forge rings and any other special enquiries.
